Clint Eastwood directed a good movie here. He also stars with a young Charlie Sheen. Eastwood plays a veteran police officer who is teamed up with a younger detective played by Sheen. They must stop a German crime lord (Raul Julia) in downtown Los Angeles. The story is good and the action is even better. Raul Julia as the villain was also a good choice. This is a good action movie if you haven't seen it.
The Rookie gets 9/10 stars
