A prequel to the original 1973 film. This film was retooled from the already completed Paul Schrader's Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist which the studio thought would be unsuccessful. This movie was directed by Renny Harlin, this version had more gore and scares than Dominion did. It was okay but not that great.
Exorcist: The Beginning gets 6/10 stars
