John Hughes directed and write a great film. It's memorable and very well made. It tells the story of a young girl's "sweet sixteenth" birthday but suffers from every embarrassment possible. Molly Ringwald is great in her role. Anthony Michael Hall was hilarious. You have to see this movie, its a timeless classic that will live on.
Sixteen Candles gets 9/10 stars
