This time around George Lucas does a prequel trilogy, meaning these you films take place before episode IV, V, and VI. The film follows the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice (padawan) Obi-Wan Kenobi, who escort and protect Queen Amidala in traveling from the planet Naboo to the planet Coruscant. They encounter a boy named Anakin Skywalker who has powers of the force.
Now the story was good for a prequel. I wanted more of Darth Maul, why you ask. Because he is the only one with a duel light saber and it was bad ass. The Pod Racing scene is intense and funny. But i had one problem and that was Jar Jar, he wasn't even funny more of annoying than anything. People give this movie a bad rep because, Lucas should of not made these Prequel Trilogies. I for one loved Phantom Menace it was good way to kick off the new trilogy.
