The Beaver (2010) : A troubled husband adopts a beaver hand-puppet as his sole means of communicating

It's the collaboration of two mega star Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster. Both of them play on the comedy film titled The Beaver. The Beaver follows a depressed CEO of a toy company (Mel Gibson) who dons a beaver handpuppet to better communicate with his wife (Jodie Foster) and his two sons (Yelchin, Riley Thomas Stewart). This film directed by Jodie Foster herself. After 14 years ago winning the Oscar from "Home For The Holidays", Jodie Foster trying something new in this film.

Behind The Scenes
 



- This is the second time Gibson and Foster work together. They ever worked together on "Maverick" in 1994.

- Despite being absent for 14 year as director, it doesn't mean Foster doesn't have any confidence to become director. She almost directed "Flora Plum" in 2001 starred by Russel Crowe and "Sugarland" in 2006 with Robert De Niro. Both of the projects failed to realized because of financial problem. 

- Kyle Killen's scenario is one of the best scenario that never been produced in 2008.

- Before Gibson, Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey was eyeing Walter Black as the main actor, meanwhile they also consider Jay Roach (Meet The Parents, Austin Powers) as the director.
