The film is about a future in which reality as perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality created by machines. A computer programmer Neo (Keanu Reeves) is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, involving others who have been freed. Now the action was good and Keanu Reeves best acting since 1994's SPEED. Other than that this movie made no sense, So is Neo in a dream or his he actually in The Matrix. He is the chosen one and what is his purpose, We dont find that out until the sequel. The Visuals and the cinematography are fantastic but that couldn't help this film. I didn't like this movie at all, This movie is so overrated that its crazy. People say this is the best action movie they have seen, No its not. Story wise it has been done in many different ways.
The Matrix gets 5/10 stars
