The film is a Gothic tale about the lingering memory of the title character, Maxim de Winter's dead first wife, which continues to haunt Maxim, his new bride, and Mrs. Danvers. Alfred Hitchcock did an amazing job with this, its such a good thriller movie you will want more. The ending is superb and you will be shocked as to what really happened. I really recommend this Hitchcock masterpiece.
