Bela Lugosi did a fantastic job with this role, he made it scary and his own. For its time it was a scary movie. But today its seen as a masterpiece in horror films. This is the only good Dracula film until, Bram Stokers Dracula directed by Francis Ford Coppola in the 1990's. I highly recommend this original for its outstanding pace and feel.
