BATMAN (1989)

Michael Keaton was cast as the Caped Crusader and there was a backlash from fans saying he was a comedian and couldn't pull off the role. So a quick teaser was put together to show audiences and fan lovers that Keaton was the man to don the cowl. Nicholson plays THE JOKER in this film one of Batman's greatest foes. Now let me just say this film should of been called Joker instead of Batman, because every scene is about the joker character and what he plans to do with the chemical that turned him into the crazy guy that he is. We see this version of Joker dance to Prince like its nothing, Nicholson was paid 60million dollars to play the joker plus box office gross and residuals. If this movie says Batman show me Batman and more of Michael Keaton. I don't want to see Nicholson as Joker run around in a Batman movie when its all about him. I give credit where credit is due for this film it is enjoyable and fun, but If your main character is about "The Batman" do a movie around that, not his villain.

Batman (1989) gets 9/10 stars
